Meet Jessica Clark.
Founder of the Connected Co.
About Jess
I grew up in California — playing at the beach, water-skiing at the lake, and organizing the neighborhood kids into whatever “program” I decided we were running that day.
Even then, I was building something.
My father shaped much of how I approach work. He believed that if you do something, you do it well. Precision mattered. Follow-through mattered. Integrity mattered. That standard became foundational to how I lead and build.
For more than two decades, I’ve worked inside businesses — from my first jobs at fourteen to founding and scaling my own ventures. In nearly every role, I found myself strengthening systems, refining marketing, restructuring processes, or creating opportunities that didn’t previously exist.
I learned early how to see what was missing.
And I learned how to connect the right people to move something forward.
Building businesses
Over the last 18+ years, my husband Kevin and I have built, operated, and sold seven restaurants. Together, we navigated concept development, construction, licensing, hiring, payroll, operations, marketing, and growth — often simultaneously.
Kevin brings engineering precision and creative problem-solving.
I bring big-picture vision, attention to detail, and strategic alignment.
It’s been a partnership rooted in both structure and imagination.
Running businesses at that scale teaches you more than operations. It teaches you about people. About pressure. About leadership under strain. About resilience.
It teaches you that success is rarely solo.
the throughline
My current work emerged from those years inside growing businesses — and from the realization that most leaders are carrying far more than is visible.
At The Connected Co., I focus on strengthening the humans inside the system.
Through strategic advisory, consulting, curated masterminds, and women-centered gatherings, I create spaces where leaders and entrepreneurs can think clearly, move deliberately, and build sustainably.
Strategy matters.
Systems matter.
Profitability matters.
But so does support.
I help stabilize the human load so performance can follow.
why it matters
While I’m proud of the businesses we’ve built, the life Kevin and I have created with our children, Harper and Dax, is what fuels my work.
I believe deeply that meaningful success should strengthen your life — not consume it.
My work is about building structures, communities, and partnerships that make growth sustainable.
For leaders.
For founders.
For families.
Giving Back
Club Kind
Charitable giving is at the heart of everything The Connected Co. does. Born out of a desire to give to those in her community in need of an act of kindness, Jessica founded Club Kind in her hometown of Carpinteria in 2009. Club Kind is a grass-roots program that takes the paperwork and overwhelming fundraising out of the equation and gives directly to the recipient by gathering people together, pooling resources and giving to someone in need. Since then, other “chapters” of CK have popped up in several different US cities bringing other communities together. The Connected Co. would love to have you be a part of this incredible group. It’s the easiest yet one of the most rewarding things you can do.
